Definition of an advanced civilization?
Mother penguin, lil penguin, and I went to see Speilberg's War of the Worlds and we enjoyed it, but I have one techie question for the director: What self-respecting advanced technological society would be satisfied driving a pre-positioned million-year-old tripod in place of the latest vehicle?

Olá!! :D
Well, the Maya indians here in our continent, America, lived for a long time without wheel, and what is very interesting is that they had a more accurate year calendar than the europeans from that time (century XVI). So, a tech invention can be good or useful for some civilizations, but it not mean that the invention must be good/useful for all civilizations. No Free Lunch!! :D
Até Mais!!
