Rube, Dave, what's the difference?
Someone searched on the term "Ruby Goldberg," but I think they meant Rube Goldberg, the cartoonist. I have a stash of Rube Goldberg postcards with reprinted cartoons I use as thank you notes, although to my knowledge there are no family ties between us. Here is Tee Up a Golf Ball. The groundhog is a nice touch.

In Spain we had a similar cartoon named "The great inventions of TBO by Professor Franz of Copenhague" (published in the TBO children magazine) made by the late Catalan cartoonist Ramon Sabatés. Here is an example of this cartoon. The text is in Spanish, but the idea is clearly illustrated by the pictures.
