Folksonomy, John Holland, and DB design

Here is a white paper from a company called Ecosystems Design, Inc. that uses Hollandian ecosystems as a metaphor for database system system. The white paper is written by Len who then, writing at Life Among Mammals, uses Holland's bucket brigade here for some speculation regarding folksonomy.
