Confessions of a Teaching Company fan

This post doesn't have anything to do with genetic algorithms, but I was exercising this morning and watching Jules Schwartz of Boston University lecture on product life cycle in his course Finance and Accounting for the Non-Financial Manager offered by the Teaching Company. I've been a fan of the teaching company for maybe eight years. Back then, I was a runner (jogger really) training for marathons, and I would get Teaching Company audio tapes to keep me company during long training runs and learn new stuff. I've stopped pounding the pavements, and now exercise indoors, and I get TC videos to keep me company on my Precor elliptical trainer (sigh, if only IlliGAL Blogging readership warranted product endorsement fees). Anyway, if you've never taken one of these courses, do it. An early course in my listening was Great Minds of the Western Intellectual Tradition. It is now in its 3rd edition and is well worth the investment of time and money.
